OUR GOAL
To raise £10 million for the bursary endowment fund to ensure access and opportunity for more boys who would benefit from a Summer Fields education.
As an independent school, we are always conscious that there are many occasions when financial barriers prevent pupils from accessing a Summer Fields education.
There has never been a more important time to focus on bursaries and access, recent events have powerfully highlighted the social, economic and ethnic inequalities in our society. It is more important than ever to broaden educational opportunity.
Summer Fields is committed to broadening educational opportunity and supporting the aspirations and ambitions for those pupils who have the ability and potential to benefit from a Summer Fields education, regardless of their financial means and background.
WHY WE NEED YOUR SUPPORT
Thanks to the generosity of our donors, the school, via the Maclaren Foundation, has provided bursary places to many boys since its foundation.
To ensure we have sufficient funds to meet the increase in demand for means-tested bursaries we continue to fundraise to provide places to more talented pupils.
Our aim is to enhance the Maclaren Foundation endowment fund so that we can build upon our tradition of excellence by widening access and enabling more talented pupils, regardless of background and ability to pay, to benefit from an education at Summer Fields.
