Meet  the Staff

    Caspian Mitchard

    Assistant Director of Music

    Teaching and Pastoral

Caspian joined Summer Fields in September 2017, having previously taught Music at prep level at the Dragon School, and to IB, A Level and GCSE students at Felsted School in Essex. Born and raised in Oxford, Caspian was a chorister at New College and attended Abingdon School, before a gap year in Melbourne and 3 years as an Organ Scholar, while studying for a Philosophy BA, at Peterhouse, Cambridge, took him a little further afield. However, he's now very happy to be back in his hometown and relishes the opportunity to introduce young people to music in all its varied and wonderful forms, from Shostakovich to Supergrass and pretty much everything else in between!

Caspian's other interests include a love of cricket (he is a devoted follower of Somerset CCC), and he's always seeking out bold and exciting new flavours to cook with!
