Teaching and Pastoral

Abi qualified as a teacher in 2003, graduating from Warwick University with a BA in music with qualified teacher status.  With experience teaching across all year groups in Key Stage 1 and 2, she taught in state schools in Hertfordshire and Buckinghamshire before moving to Oxfordshire with her husband and two sons in 2017. 

She joined Summer Fields in March 2020 and wears many hats in the Pre-Prep: working as a learning support teacher, teaching music or supporting classes as a teaching assistant. I love teaching Year 2 as it is such a fun age group to teach; where they grow in confidence and independence and are so inquisitive and excited to learn.  It is amazing to be part of their journey through pre-prep!

Outside of school she can often be found either watching her youngest son play rugby or her eldest son rowing.  She also enjoys reading, playing the piano and spending time with her family and their dog.
