Time to Spare? was published to mark the occasion of the school's 125th Anniversary in 1989.  The book gives a historical sketch of the world that the boys lived in. Its author, the late Nicolas Aldridge, spent half of his life at Summer Fields, man and boy: six years as a pupil, then four as a very junior master in the 1960s, and later returning in 1975 to become Assistant Headmaster in 1978.
