The Founder's Fayre

This year the school celebrates 160 years of outstanding education - join us as we celebrate this milestone.

The Founder's Fayre will take place on Saturday 15 June 2024 from 10.30am. We hope that many of our parents and their families will attend along with invited guests including governors, former staff, Old Summerfieldians and Friends of Summer Fields.

There will be plenty for all the family to do and see, including but not limited to:-

  • Traditional games and attractions - Splat the Rat, Hook a Duck, Tin Can Alley, etc.
  • Traditional funfair attractions -  Helter Skelter, Victorian swing boats
  • Circus performers - jugglers, stilt-walkers, etc.
  • Dog Show with celebrity guest judge tba
  • Tombolas
  • Musical entertainment - showcasing the boys' musical abilities
  • Art Exhibition - showcasing the boys' artwork
  • Broomstick Match followed by Match Tea
  • Silent Auction - raising vital funds for bursaries

Silent Auction

In honour of the school's Founder, Gertrude Maclaren, we are raising vital funds for our means-tested bursaries. Our vision is to enable more boys to benefit from a Summer Fields' education regardless of background and ability to pay.

All funds raised at the Silent Auction and all profits from the Founder's Fayre will be added to our endowment bursary fund, as part of our bursary campaign, Soaring Futures.
