Why Summer Fields?
Summer Fields is an ideal environment and setting for young children to grow up. We are one of the few all-boys prep schools in the country, allowing each boy’s needs to be fully catered for. It has a truly rural setting, yet is only two and a half kilometres from the centre of Oxford and all that the city has to offer.
There are 70 acres of delightful grounds and sports fields, including a nine-hole golf course. The School has outstanding facilities which cater for all interests and there is a huge range of extra-curricular activities on offer.
The boys are happy, fulfilled and well looked after. The outstanding pastoral care was highly praised in the latest ISI inspection report. A well-organised and excellent tutorial system provides the boys with enormous support and confidence and acts as a valuable link with parents.
The School is proud of its excellent academic departments and impressive results. Excellent boarding is provided in very comfortable small Lodges run by a superb team of Lodge Parents. The highly talented and dedicated members of staff offer an enormous amount both in and outside the classroom.
Day boys play a full part in the life of the school and class for 7-year-old day boys was introduced in September 2006.
